How Does Resurrection Apply to Us?

How does Jesus’ resurrection and ascension apply to us? That’s a great question; in Ephesians 2:5–6 it says, even when we were dead in offenses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—and raised us up together with Him, and seated us together with Him in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus; in His resurrection, before we were born-again Christians, God imparted His life into us and raised us up from our situation dead in our offenses, and now we have a share in His position of resurrection and can enjoy His resurrection life; in His ascension, Christ has been raised and seated in the heavenlies, and we too have a share in this position of ascension; just as Christ is in the position of ascension, we too have a share in His ascension and can rise above all situations of the earth, of Satan and his kingdom, and have a pure enjoyment of Christ’s resurrection and ascension; and so His resurrection and ascension aren’t just historical events, but they are ongoing realities for us to enjoy today.
