Why Did God Need to be a Man?

Why did God need to be a man? So the word incarnation is actually not found anywhere in the Bible, but the Bible shows us that God became a man; in John chapter 1 we see that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and then in verse 14 we see that the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us; and so this God who was in the heavens came down as a real, genuine man—but why? It was so that He could die for our sins; if God had never become a man, then He could have never satisfied the righteous requirement of the law and we would never be saved; so thank God that Jesus became a man, because now we have eternal life.
