Lesly's Day in the Life

This is my five to nine before my nine to five; I start my day off by reading from my Bible verses book and meditating on a verse that I opened to that day—today I did Jeremiah 29:11, ‘for I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’; and then I do my daily Bible reading, and I think that right now I’m in Hebrews, and I spent some time reading that; I really like this bookmark because I realized that I need to do this morning by morning; and then I do my makeup and start getting ready for work, and even as I’m doing my makeup, I sort of consider the verses in the Bible that I read this morning; and I feel like it’s a sustaining part of my life, almost kind of like having breakfast in the morning—I feel like if I don’t spend time in the word, then I’m sort of starving spiritually, if that makes sense; then after I do my makeup, I get ready for work, I put my laptop in my bag, and I actually bring my Bible verses book with me, because you never know when you’ll need a little pick me up; then I head out to grab something quick to eat and then I go to work.
