How Do I know I am Saved?

How do I know I’m saved and how do I not lose it? The Bible describes salvation in one passage as the receiving into us of a seed, so knowing that we’re saved is a matter of knowing that some element—actually God Himself—has come into us to dwell; and so right away we should have a different sensation, we should have a new thought, a new desire, a new aspiration, and that is for God, for the things of God, for His word, and even for His people, the people of God; so I would say even to ask the question, how do I know that I’m saved, is a really good indication that yes, you indeed are saved; and then, of course, the growth is the assurance that we are continually in the Lord’s hands—John 10:10 says that the Father holds us in His hand, in His eternal hand, and we can never leave the care of our Father God.
